I went to college and had a good day drawing in charcoal; it may never be my favourite but I think I am improving a little. And I wasn’t the only one without my collage either – phew! I have some more time to do it and I got a book on collage out of the library (my fail-safe strategy in times of difficulty!) which has been helpful.
Today’s drawing was done at college and is a blind drawing (looking at the subject, not the paper) of Serena and a bookbinder’s finishing press. It’s the one I was happiest with today. Drawing without looking is freeing, and, for the moment at least, is where my best work seems to come out. I think. Well, anyway, here t’is:
