Forty-five

Happy St. Valentine’s Day! How was yours? I had an unusual Valentine’s in that I actually received a Valentine today – from my eldest daughter. She made us (The Husband and me) a lovely card and sang a song (to the tune of ‘We wish you a merry Christmas!’):

Happy Valentine’s day to you!

Happy Valentine’s day to you!

Happy Valentine’s day to you!

Happy Loving day to you!

Nice eh?

Here’s the drawing. Quite pleased with how it turned out – especially after yesterday’s disaster. I confess I was a bit low, thinking I am not making any progress. Might still be true but I like today’s drawing and that makes a lot of difference to me. It’s a charcoal drawing of a small kind of statuette thingy that I made from clay a couple of years ago. It sits on my desk and looks at me in a womanly manner. What’s that? No, I don’t know either. Anyway:

Charcoal and gouache on lining paper (the kind you put on your walls and can buy from Wilko for £2.50 a roll)
